Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 3 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes (ovens vary)
Total Time: 23 minutes
Servings: 3
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 pounds fresh salmon filet
- 2/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon (1 packet) French onion soup mix
Here's how to make it:
- Place the salmon filet, skin side down, in a casserole dish or baking pan (I lined mine with aluminum foil for easier cleanup). Season with sea salt and black pepper, to taste, if desired. In a small mixing bowl or large measuring cup, add the mayonnaise and soup mix. Stir to combine.
- Spread the mixture over the salmon, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake the salmon in a preheated 375-degree F oven for about 15 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for another 5 minutes or until desired doneness. Salmon is done when it reaches 145 degrees F on a food thermometer.
- Serve with your favorite vegetables or side dishes. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Reheat in the microwave.
