I didn't see anything about the placement of the hamburger mixture in the Grandma's Old-fashioned Cheesy Hamburger & Potato Casserole recipe's instructions. Does the burger layer go between the potato layer and the soup layer?
Donna John
The meat mixture is a layer and added on top of the potatoes.
Rebecca Haynes Blair
Where does the hamburger go in the casserole? It just says to cook and no where's in the casserole.
Donna John
On top of the potatoes when layering.

No mention of draining the ground beef once cooked nor the order of cooked ground beef when layering ingredients!
Donna John
If you have a lot of fat in the pan you can always drain it. If you use very lean meat, you will not have to.

I would think most people drain the ground beef if it is needed and the the layering instructions is included now, must have been an honest mistake initially to not have it listed. No need to be so rude.

????

If you feel you need to drain your ground beef before layering, please do!

CHILL…..

Judging from your previous comment above, perhaps you're the one that needs to chill.
