Snow Cone Syrups: Forget Fake Ingredients & Use One That's All Natural! by Cheryl Leahy

I hosted a first birthday party for my son and purchased a snow cone maker. I purchased all of the accoutrements –paper cones, spoon straws, extra ice. I searched for snow cone syrup that didn't contain artificial colors or flavors, and failed! I finally discovered a local Chicago company, Jo Snow, which makes small-batch all-natural syrups for snow cones, cocktails, coffee and more.

I am now planning a boozy snow cone party for my friends – Grapefruit Rosemary Martini snow cone, anyone? I also use the syrup in sparkling water to add natural flavor, as well as in food like oatmeal and ice cream. So many products out there contain unknown ingredients that it is a relief to find some that are natural, especially for our kids!
