Want to Cut Calories & Carbs When Baking Cookies? Here's the Secret!

Stevia is a natural substitute sweetener with no calories or carbs. You can substitute stevia for sugar in cookie recipes!

  • Use powdered or liquid stevia extract to replace 1 cup of sugar with 1 teaspoon stevia.
  • Use a commercially prepared one-for-one stevia product, substituting it equally for sugar.

One caveat no matter what type you use: without sugar, cookie dough has less volume. Make it up with 1/3 cup of a bulking agent such as egg whites, applesauce, fruit puree (like bananas), yogurt or mashed sweet potato per cup of replaced sugar.
