This juicy grilled pork steaks recipe is my budget dinner of the week – maybe month. These pork steaks cost me a whooping $4, for both, and were the most tender and juicy meat I've cooked in a while. The grilled pork steaks looked so impressive, I served them to my husband as his birthday dinner. No joke! This is one budget-recipe you need to add to your dinner rotation.
Pork has always been a budget ingredient, but when it goes on sale, you cannot beat it for a budget-friendly dinner. My freezer gets stocked during pork sales, and I am never disappointed. For this easy pork recipe, you only need three simple ingredients: pork steaks (read about the health benefits of pork), a seasoning blend and olive oil.
You can use any seasoning blend you like for this grilled recipe. I chose a dry barbecue rib seasoning, but you could go Mediterranean, Greek, Mexican, Asian, Middle Eastern, or go simple with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder or even just salt and black pepper. Do whatever sounds good in the moment. To make these pork steaks, you simply sprinkle on your seasoning, drizzle with olive oil and toss on a hot grill. Pork steaks are generally thin, so they cook up in no time.
Serve these juicy pork steaks for dinner with your favorite side dishes. I served mine with a salad and homemade borracho beans for a quick and easy budget-friendly and high-protein dinner. Read about the health benefits of protein.

Ingredients
Here's how to make it:
- Season the pork steaks on both sides with your seasoning blend. (If your seasoning blend does not have salt and pepper in it, season with salt and pepper to taste.) Drizzle with olive oil.
- Put the pork steaks onto a hot grill. Cook until the bottom is well seared, about 2 to 4 minutes. Flip the pork over and continue to cook until cooked through. Pork is cooked through at 145 degrees F internal temperature on a food thermometer.
- Serve hot. Store any leftover pork in an airtight container.
