Bathing Suits: How to Create New Looks & Save Money on Swimwear Fashion

Bathing suit pieces can range from $5 for basic to thousands of dollars for designer. I have learned to purchase pieces individually that can coordinate with other colors or patterns. For example, I purchased a solid green bikini last year. I updated it with a pair of green and white striped bottoms that were on the clearance rack this year and created a new look. Consider:

  • stripes with florals
  • two different color solids (think color block)
  • wild design on top and solid bottoms
  • mixing black and white
  • black bottoms and colorful tops

Stores that sell tops and bottoms separately usually have an excess of one or the other, which results in savings for you! Don’t be afraid to mix patterns with solids, or mix different patterns together. Have fun with your look!
