Family Road Trips: Helpful Tips When You're Traveling With a Baby!

I frequently make trips to visit my out-of-state family. Every time I travel, friends ask me how I make a seven-hour road trip with a 1-year-old.

  • First of all, I have a mirror in the back seat so he can see me.
  • I also grab a bag and fill it with toys that are currently out of circulation. I then pass a toy back when he gets bored.
  • We also stop at different places along the way: farmers' markets, unique cafes, play areas – you name it!

The drive might take a bit longer, but is infinitely more pleasurable. Make sure it's as fun as possible for BOTH of you!
