Sometimes You've Gotta Tell the Kids to Buzz Off (At Least for 10 Minutes)! Motherhood

Listen, we’ve all been initiated. We all know the utter truth about what it means to be a mom. Our friends without kids don’t understand. Neither do our husbands, boyfriends, nor any male of the human species. We’ve signed on for the grandest – being responsible for our child’s life like only we can.

But moms sacrifice themselves far more than the job requires. (And it requires a lot of sacrifice.) We mean well. But we forget how crucial it is to take TIME ALONE to replenish, nurture and pamper ourselves. Without this, we’re actually far from our best. Just 10 minutes of me-time a day does wonders.

So Mom, take a bath. A walk. Contemplate your navel. You’ll be a better mom and a more peaceful you. Right now, think about when you will schedule in some me-time today. And do it.
