Boost Your Child’s Productivity: Why You Should Let Your Kid Take the Day Off! Parenting

Too much running can lead to too much whining. The answer may be as simple as an activity-free day.

  • Take a look at your child’s schedule. Is there one day out of the week or month where your child can take the day off from all obligations?
  • Mark that day on the calendar, and explain to your child that on that day, he or she is in charge.

They can be lazy as long as certain basic requirements are met – healthy meals, showers, etc. If your child complains of being bored the first few times, you might have to step in and be prepared with suggestions, like games to play or books to read.

What a great idea, Shel Franco ! Kids need a break sometimes, just like adults do!
