How to Make Homemade Play Food Containers for Kids' Play Kitchens! Activities DIY

Instead of spending money on plastic food for your kids' play kitchen, reuse empty containers from your real kitchen! You'll need:

  • empty food containers
  • raffia or tissue paper

To make, stuff the clean plastic containers with the colored tissue paper or raffia.

Kids love to play with these because they look just like the real thing! As a fine motor activity, have kids help stuff the containers, a great way to build hand strength. Make sure to seal the containers with a hot glue gun when finished, otherwise you may find shredded paper all over your home!
