"Vintage" is defined as anything over 50 years old. I love the look of vintage, but all the fabricated “vintage” takes the nostalgia out of decorating. If you have never been a thrift store or garage sale shopper, put on the gloves and start now. You can find treasures for less money.
Make friends with older people, too. I have found the most amazing, true vintage pieces for kid’s room accents. I enjoy cleaning them, airing them out and helping my clients add that special vintage touch to their kid’s room. It may take a little more work, but then you have the “story” of your vintage piece.
