Operation Tiny Home: Building a Difference, Transforming Lives Make a Difference

After a weekend of touring tiny houses at the Tiny House Jamboree in Austin, Texas, one home stood out above the rest. It wasn't a redesigned retro school bus or a goose-neck custom build on wheels. This home offered much, much more.

This 200-square foot home was built by Operation Tiny Home. The home was built specifically, and gifted to, a combat wounded veteran. Operation Tiny Home provides hands-on building workshops free to veterans, to enhance their carpentry skills, build confidence, while helping provide secure and affordable housing.

On the last day of the jamboree, Operation Tiny Home celebrated during a "gifting ceremony" to a veteran. This program offers tiny homes that are solid, well-insulated and beautifully designed. Operation Tiny Home is a 501c3 nonprofit, and their empowering training programs, along with creating high-quality tiny housing, makes this organization a true hero. Life changers, world changers.

Thank you OTH, for your dedication and hammering out housing instability.

You know I love tiny homes, Tiffany Zook . I had no idea about Operation Tiny Home. What a wonderful organization! Thank you for shining a light on them. (And let me know when the next jamboree is so I can go!)

This is a beautiful story of giving back to others who sacrifice so much for us. I love the inspiration.
