Getting Kids to Eat Vegetables: If at First You Don't Succeed, Try It a Different Way! Parenting

Getting kids to eat their veggies – or the veggies that YOU want them to eat – can sometimes be challenging. In my house, my love for cauliflower is well known. Selfishly, I wanted the rest of my family to feel the same way so I could make more cauliflower. Unfortunately, my kids did not. We've all heard you need to try a new food 10 times before you like it. However, that does not mean we need to serve the same food the same way over and over again. I tried:

  • mashed cauliflower
  • grilled cauliflower
  • cut up and baked cauliflower
  • tempura cauliflower

Then, I hit the jackpot with a simple whole-head baked cauliflower recipe. (Get the recipe here!)

Cauliflower is one of my faves, too, Ali Mathis . I've made it every way you mentioned but never whole. Going to try that recipe soon! I have a recipe my kids loved called cauliflower popcorn. It's for snacking. I'll have to post that recipe soon.
