Need a Babysitter on Black Friday? Here's a Fun Option for Kids! Parenting Holidays

If you’re planning on shopping this Black Friday and your sitter is sleeping in or shopping also, there may be a local option for you. Several YMCAs are offering “Drop and Shop” for parents to have an option for quality child care in the wee hours of the morning the day after Thanksgiving.

Check with your local Y, but most are advertising care starting at 6 a.m. for $15 per child for four hours. Meals, crafts and games will be provided and you can even drop your kids off in their PJs. Instead of sleeping kids in shopping carts, let them play and enjoy the day with each other!
