Although etiquette school may seem like a thing of the past, teaching kids proper etiquette at a young age can help them later in life. Children who are polite and kind grow up to be good communicators and, according research, being kind to others can make us happier. Here are four basic manners to practice with kids!
- Say "please" and "thank you!"
- Kids can grasp the concept of sharing as early as 2 years old – show them that sharing is caring!
- Around age 3, start with small table manners like eating with a fork or spoon and staying seated for meal time.
- Teaching kids to say "excuse me" when they need someone’s attention is a great polite practice!
And it's never too early to start!
