Lack Motivation to Organize Your Home? Try This Simple Trick! Home

One of the hardest things about getting organized is deciding where to start. It can be overwhelming! Try this trick to get you started: Ask yourself what one small area would make you the most thrilled and best reduce your stress level to have organized.

  • Would it make you happiest to have your shoes arranged in an orderly fashion?
  • Your pencil drawer neat and tidy?
  • Your scarfs and accessories drawers cleaned out?

Then that is the place to start! Don’t worry about whether it is the most visible or logical place to begin. Just concentrate on the place that will make you happiest. Once that task is completed, let the joy of the finished project help motivate you to tackle the next area you want to de-clutter. Take one step at a time, one small area at a time. You’ll soon find your home organized.

Love this! I often give myself a 15 minute limit, put on some running shoes and fun music. I feel motivated and usually end up working on the area for at least 30 minutes :)
