Ever leave a room to get something and, once you get to where you’re going, you forget why you’re there? Yep, me too! This phenomenon isn’t due to exhaustion, aging or absentmindedness, but probably to normal brain function! 

It turns out that crossing through a doorway (a change of venue) can cause the brain to “let go” of what we were thinking about and focus on what is newly around us. If you think of a caveman, this was a good strategy for survival, but it can make us go completely batty today! So bring a reminder with and you should have a better chance of remembering why you left!
