Want to Raise Good Kids? Here's Something You May Not Have Thought Of! Parenting

It's tougher than ever to raise good kids. My suggestion for keeping kids off drugs and out of jail while creating deeper connections, security, enhancing vocabulary and teaching them to chew with their mouths shut? Have dinner or breakfast together! It's low-hanging fruit when it comes to good parenting.

  • Shoot for five meals together a week (you’ll probably score three or four).
  • No need to cook every time. Put it to a family vote and score some conscientious fast food, which is a hit with kids!
  • Pick a different topic at each meal to talk about. It's a great way to learn more about your kids!
  • Have your child tell you about their day. How did they feel today? What was the best part of their day?

Eating dinner together is so important to my family. Breakfast is always rushed and hectic on school/work mornings, so dinner is our time to sit and talk and check in with each other. Thanks for confirming that it's an important ritual, Angela Borneman !
