Technology Can Strengthen Relationships With Teens! Here's How! Teens Parenting Tech

My daughter and friends spend all their time on Snapchat. Often she records me doing silly antics. At first, I wasn't comfortable being in her videos. Then I realized, she's playing with me! She's 14 and playing with Mom.

So now when she asks me to do this dance or try this trick with her phone in hand, I do! Sometimes she records me; sometimes it's just a picture. What I've learned from this is that her friends think "she's lucky" because I play around with her like that.

Teens and tweens are a special group – they’ll remain open with you if you play along!

I love this Holly. I think it's so important that we remember to have "fun" with our kids doing something that they want to do. It can be getting involved in their Snapchat videos, to watching their favorite show (even if we don't understand it) to a water fight to eating junk food while telling silly jokes.
