How to Make a To-Do-Before-School Morning Chart to Help Little Ones Stay on Track by Cheryl Leahy

In the mornings, time is precious. My son has a tough time staying on track and getting tasks accomplished before school. Since he is only 3, he can’t read, to I came up with this easy idea:

  • I took photos of him successfully completing tasks.
  • I then printed them out.
  • I affixed magnets to the back and put them on my refrigerator.

He has to move all of the photos from the “To Do” section to the “Done” section before we leave for school in the mornings. This helps him know what has to be done next and stay on track! He has a sense of accomplishment and we get out the door faster!
