Parents, Have Your Own No Tolerance Policy Against Bullying!

With so many suicides attributed to bullying happening around the country, it pays for a mom to be vigilant. Watch for signs that your child is being bullied, such as:

  • coming home with bruises, scratches or torn clothing
  • has few friends
  • is suddenly uninterested in school activities

Take quick action. Most schools have a no tolerance policy for bullying and will help. Talk with your child, your child’s teacher and school officials. Make it clear that bullying is unacceptable. Obtain an outside counselor to help your child deal with the bullying. Above all, do not give up.
