Want a fun-filled, interactive approach to storytelling with your kids? Story Clap is a wonderful theater game that’s perfect for a group, but just as fun one on one! Not only does this game promote listening, turn taking and literacy skills, it helps kids find the value in the “team effort” – everything has to come from the mind of the group! Here are some tips for playing:

  • Use your favorite stories, fairy tales or fables as a springboard.
  • Try adding a timer and designate one person to be the conductor/clapper in order to keep the story moving.
  • Record the story (write it down later for extra literacy boosting) with a voice memo to laugh later.
