This Hack Works All the Time: How to Use a Timer as a Parenting Tool! by Christie Gosch

A timer is a great parenting! Use it to tackle a chore you just don’t want to do.
- Set a timer for 15 minutes and scrub/haul/dust away. When the timer goes off you can walk away knowing you attacked it.
- A timer can help transitions go smoother for kids. Talk to your child about how much time is left before you have to leave and set the timer together. When it goes off your child tends to feel part of the decision that it’s time to switch gears.
- Set the timer for 5 minutes to give your child undivided attention for homework or to tell you the details of their day with no phone or chore interruptions!
And there's no time like the present to buy one!
