How to Apply Sunscreen: Here's One Body Part That's Often Overlooked! Family Health

I never really paid much attention to putting sunscreen on ears until my doctor caught an ominous-looking spot on the top of my right one. Fortunately, it wasn’t melanoma, but the biopsy was painful since a fair amount of cartilage was removed and I needed stitches (not to mention, once I was in the clear, I earned the nickname “Van Gogh”). 

Most importantly, it served as a wake-up call, and now whenever I apply sunscreen to my face and neck, I also cover my ears, paying careful attention to the tops, especially since I wear my hair up more during the summer. Don't forget kids' ears, too!
