April is Autism Awareness Month. Did you know that the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) reports 1:88 children are diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder?

My daughter has a developmental disability and the experience of seeing her reach developmental milestones was filled with worry. I documented the milestones on a calendar and kept a daily journal.
