Most of us know that too much sun exposure poses skin cancer risks. But here are five other risks you need to know about to help you detect it early. 

  • If you’ve had skin cancer before, it’s more likely to have again and warrants regular skin checks.
  • Presence of changing moles. Look for: A for Assymetry, B for border irregularity, C for irregular pigment distribution, D for diameter of 6 mm or more and E for evolving or changing size. 
  • Weakened immune system. 
  • Exposure to radiation and chemicals. 
  • Fair skin. 

A majority of skin cancers can be treated if detected early.
