Good Chefs Clean Up! How to Teach Kids to Clean After Cooking! by Elizabeth Pagel-Hogan

There are never "too many cooks" in the kitchen at our house! My boys love to help cook, and we love and encourage their help. With so many eager chefs, it does get pretty messy. I noticed that the boys would disappear when it was time to clean, so we made a change to get them involved. 

Even though it takes extra time, I now pull up chairs to the sink and teach them how to clean our:

• bowls
• spoons
• cutting boards
• pots
• pans 
• countertops

It's important to teach kids that it's fun being a chef, but good chefs also clean up after themselves!
