When there is an “exceptionality” in a child’s development, that "difference” can become larger than everything else in a family’s life. Parenting a child with special needs is an enormous task, but that can be said of EVERY parent. By connecting to the core of being a parent and finding the experiences that are shared by every parent, there is an opportunity to feel more connected than apart.
