I love coffee, but I know that if I drink it in the afternoon, the full dose of caffeine can affect my sleep. I am not necessarily a fan of straight tea, so was looking for a solution that could serve as an afternoon warm-up without a ton of caffeine. On average, coffee (8 ounces) has 110 mg of caffeine, whereas black tea has 40 mg. So here's what I did:
- I brewed a cup of spiced peach black tea.
- Shook up skim milk in a container.
- Microwaved the skim milk, uncovered, for about 45 seconds (microwaving the shaken milk sets the froth).
- Added it to the tea.
