Moist Honey Mustard Baked Salmon Recipe (6 Ingredients, 20 Minutes) Seafood Gluten-free Dinner Lunch
My wife, Elisa, and I enjoy eating salmon and try to have it a couple times a week. It's so easy to make and it always turns out delicious. I recently made this moist and tender honey mustard baked salmon recipe. The fish recipe offers the health benefits of salmon, which is a great addition to a heart-healthy diet.
You need only six ingredients and about 20 minutes to make this simple seafood recipe. Here's what you need to make this flavorful dinner: fresh salmon, soy sauce or tamari, extra virgin olive oil, honey, yellow mustard and minced garlic. You whisk together the sauce then spread half of it over the salmon. You bake the salmon, then spread the rest of the sauce over it about two-thirds of the way through baking and bake until done. Simple and delicious.
Serve this savory gluten-free salmon with your favorite side dishes for an amazing dinner everyone will enjoy. I served it with roasted beets for a delicious, nutritious meal.
Cuisine: American

Total Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients
- 1 pound (16 ounces) fresh salmon filet
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 1/2 teaspoons yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
Recipe Notes
- The ratio of honey and mustard can be tweaked according to your preferences. If you'd like it a bit sweeter, add more honey. If you prefer the mustard to shine through, add a bit more of it.
- Instead of yellow mustard, you can use Dijon mustard, if preferred.
- I used gluten-free soy sauce, but you can use regular soy sauce, low-sodium soy sauce or tamari, if preferred.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Reheat in the microwave.
Here's how to make it:
- In a small mixing bowl or large measuring cup, add the olive oil, soy sauce, honey, mustard and garlic. Stir to combine.
- Place the salmon filet, skin side down, in a casserole dish or baking pan (I lined it with aluminum foil for easier cleanup). Season with salt and pepper, to taste, if desired.
- Spread half of the sauce evenly over the salmon then set the rest aside.
- Bake the salmon at 400 degrees F for about 10 minutes. Spread remaining sauce over the salmon, then bake for another 5 minutes or until desired doneness. Salmon is done when it reaches 145 degrees F on a food thermometer.
- Remove salmon from oven and serve.
