Homemade Seasoned Salt Recipe: DIY Seasoned Salt Spice Blend Is a Flavor Explosion Spices

Seasoned salt can add so much flavor to recipes. While many of us have a container of store-bought seasoned salt in their pantries, we think fresh is always best. This homemade seasoned salt recipe is made with spices you probably already have in the kitchen, and takes minutes to stir together.

The nice thing about a homemade spice blend is that you can adjust the ratios of the ingredients to fit your tastes. You also know how much salt is in the product if you are watching your sodium intake. This easy seasoned salt is a mixture of sea salt, black pepper, paprika, parsley flakes (crush them with your fingers), garlic powder and onion powder. Whisk the ingredients together and store in an airtight container in a cool place.

Whisk up the standard seasoned salt, then add additional seasonings, if desired, to make specialty seasoned salt. For Mexican seasoned salt, add dried oregano, ground cumin and ground cayenne. For Mediterranean seasoned salt, add dried rosemary and dried basil. For Italian seasoned salt, add dried basil and dried oregano. For Middle Eastern seasoned salt, add garam masala and crushed red pepper flakes. This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled.
