I’ve been on an organizing kick, and when I got to my makeup drawer, I was at a loss! How long is it safe to keep makeup? I did some research and here’s what I learned!
- Mascara: 2-3 months
- Eyeliner: 3 months
- Eye shadow: 3 months
- Powder/blush: Up to 2 years (but keep your brushes clean!).
- Concealer: Liquid lasts a year, stick 2 years.
- Foundation: 6-12 months
- Lipstick/gloss:1 year
- Nail polish: If the color mixes with shaking, you’re good to go!
Use a Sharpie or a labeler to put an “expiration date” right on the container whenever you open something new!
