Recipe Notes

  • If you want a thinner crust, use a rolling pin to roll the formed dough to desired thickness.
  • You can add a thin layer of cornmeal to the pizza pan before placing the dough on it to keep it from sticking.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Stir together the water, yeast and honey. Let the mixture sit until foamy, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  2. Stir in the olive oil, flour and salt until it forms a sticky dough.
  3. Remove the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes. Form into a ball and put the dough into an oiled bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let it sit in a draft-free place for about 1 to 2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
  4. Punch the dough down and divide into two balls. Stretch the dough balls out to form pizza crusts.
  5. To make a pizza, put the dough crust onto a baking sheet. Add toppings and bake in a 450-degree F oven for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden.
