Batter Up: How to Help Keep Kids' Eyes Safe During Baseball Season!

Batter up! It's baseball season. Baseball is one of the safest sports for kids. Still, there is no such thing as a completely risk-free sport. One of the most common, but often unrecognized, injuries in baseball are to the eyes. 

  • Children are especially vulnerable since they haven’t developed the same level of depth perception as adults. 
  • Be especially careful if your child wears glasses. Make sure they're wearing protective lenses, and you may want to consider a face shield for the batting helmet.
