Creamy Green Onion Ranch Dill Dip Recipe: The Best of Three Worlds by Donna John
Confession: I love dips. When my kids were still at home, we would have dip night. I would make a few dips (hot and cold) and we'd eat that for dinner with crackers, chips and raw vegetables. Good times! Now I save the dips for weekends, holidays and family get-togethers. That is, until I found a beautiful bunch of fresh dill at the farmers market. I decided to make a dill dip with some of it, but was also thinking ranch dip and green onion dip. What to do? Combine all three into one creamy cold dip recipe.
I made this dip with mayonnaise, sour cream, cream cheese, fresh dill, green onions, seasoned salt and dry ranch seasoning. The result was a flavorful creamy dip that hit on all notes and satisfied my dip craving.
I didn't serve this cold appetizer dip for dinner (though I may reinstate dip night soon), but snacked on it on a beautiful Sunday afternoon while reading my latest good book. Next time I will make this dip and invite friends and family over to enjoy it with me.
Don't let those fresh herbs go bad! Here's a hack on how to keep fresh herbs better longer.
