Dehydration is a concern for many runners and people who sweat a lot during exercise. I know we don’t like to weigh ourselves, but doing it before and after a long run is helpful in monitoring sweat loss.
For every pound lost, you need to replace it with 16 ounces of water. This means if you lose 3 pounds over the course of four hours of running, you will need to drink 6 ounces of water every 30 minutes during the race. Check with your doctor for specific concerns.
