TSA Pre-Check is a program for pre-screened passengers to go through a faster, separate security line at participating airports. Faster because you don't have to remove your shoes, belt, light coat or take out your laptop or 3-1-1 liquids.

Apply at then visit an enrollment center for an interview and provide ID and fingerprints. It costs $85 for five years, and nine major airlines are participating. Upon arrival, after checking in to fly, your boarding pass will have a pre-check notification.

Take the time now to save yourself time the next five years!

I did this! While it does take some time to get it done, it is so worth it! I love whizzing through security and not unpacking my bags, taking off shoes, etc. I'm spoiled now when I travel abroad - I miss my Pre-check on the way back home! Thanks for sharing, Eirene Heidelberger !! xoxo

I was actually TSA-Pre when I went to Chicago. It was awesome. My niece wasn't and I had to wait for her...but, I loved it!~

Does this include your kids? Last time we flew it was a nightmare trying to do all that and manage the kiddos.
Eirene Heidelberger
Sure does! Just flew today, it's really really worth the effort.
