It Takes Just One Step to Change Your Life: How I Ended Up Living My Adventure in New York City

Where are you right now? Literally or spiritually. Mentally or emotionally. Are you sitting in a coffee shop waiting for your usual order? Are you sitting at your desk at work watching time slowly pass? Are you waiting in line at the store watching as busy people pass by you? Any moment in the day that you sit and wonder why is a moment to create. To plan. To get inspired. And that’s exactly what I did.

For about a year, I have known that I needed a change in my life. A move. An adventure. I was searching and finding nothing to feed my fire, hunger and drive. Until two months ago when my best friend called and said, “We need a roommate. Do you want to move to New York?” I found it. The adventure I was craving, the change I was seeking. A city to fuel my fire and drive. A city that is constantly alive and changing, everything I wanted to be.

So where am I right now? I am sitting in my new apartment in New York City, scheduling auditions. I am living my new adventure. So, when you walk outside tomorrow, find something that reminds you of your fire. It takes just one step to change your path; you never know where it could lead.

This was a trip down memory lane for me, reminding me of when I started my own adventure to NYC. That was 19 years ago and I’m still recovering! ;-) Those were some great days. Enjoy yours - they go very fast, especially in a place where no one ever stops! :-)
