Santa & Fireworks in Illinois? Yes! Santa Is Coming to Deer Park Town Center Friday!

Santa is coming to Deer Park Town Center in Deer Park, Illinois on Friday, November 10, at 6 p.m.! Santa will arrive in a parade riding on top a ride fire truck! Last year this was my son’s favorite part. He and my daughter had a long discussion on why he didn't bring his sled and reindeer. I didn't answer them and let them come to their own conclusion, which is always fun to see. My daughter thought the reindeer were sleeping and my son thought they couldn't come because there was no snow yet!

Santa will do a countdown and turn on the holiday lights for the season. Then, there are fireworks and donations are collected for Barrington VFW Post 7706! Kids can get their pictures taken with Santa for free, too. But the line is always huge, so we normally skip it and get hot coca while watching the fireworks. My favorite part is the fireworks! Where else can you see free fireworks in November? And if the kids get cold you can see them perfectly from the car. So, if you’re looking for a fun free thing to do on Friday bring the kids to Deer Park Town Center to see Santa and fireworks.
