Secluded beachfront getaway Matachica Resort & Spa has been named one of the top 10 resorts in Central America in the 2017 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards. The award celebrates outstanding properties from every region of the globe using feedback from its reader’s to decide upon the winning properties.

For the 30th annual Readers’ Choice Awards, more than 300,000 travelers took part in submitting their ratings and feedback to help create this year’s top lists. More than 30,000 properties were reviewed, resulting in millions of assessments and more than 100,000 comments – a new record.

“The team is thrilled to be recognized as one of the top resorts in the region by Condé Nast Traveler,” says Daniel Lighter, owner of Matachica Resort & Spa and sister property GAÏA Riverlodge. “We’ve work hard every day to create the perfect environment to help our guests unwind and recharge.”

I stayed at this hotel about 12 years ago and it was amazing! After traveling all over the world I can say it was one of the best memories I have. The property is divine. We rented a 2 bedroom casita with friends and loved every minute of it!
