Havasu Creek & Havasu Falls: Discover Hidden Swimming Holes & Waterfalls in the Grand Canyon

Havasu Creek and Havasu Falls are amazing hidden treasures in the Grand Canyon. Located on the Havasupai Indian Reservation in Arizona, the hike down is roughly 10 miles, so this adventure is not for everyone. But boy, it looks like it's worth it.

What makes this spot so magical? It has five waterfalls, brilliant turquoise water, natural ponds and an unbelievable view. Swing on the rope swing, cliff jump, wade through the crystal clear water or just marvel at the breath-taking beauty (infinity Kodak moments!).

Only a certain number of visitors are allowed per night and you must get a permit. (Learn how to get a permit for Havasu Creek.) GrandCanyon.com wants people who are interested in visiting Havasu Falls to know that "it requires a 10-mile hike EACH WAY to the beautiful blue-green waterfalls of Havasupai. For information about visiting Havasupai on your own, YOU MUST call 928-448-2180..."

it is beautiful to look at will be visiting the grand canyon this summer, but do not know if the 10 mile hike is worth it. any other way to get there?
Sheri B Doyle
It looks like you either have to walk, take a helicopter (which is quite tricky) or go by horse. I hope you have a great time at the Grand Canyon this summer!
Marjorie A. Carter
looks interesting, but walking 10 miles in and out. no way and you have to make reservations and only allow a certain amount of people.
Fiona Whiley
Looks quite challenging! And it's the 10 miles BACK that would be a challenge! :)
