Newborn Skin Conditions: The 411 on Baby Acne & Infant Cradle Cap!

When we think of acne, we may think about the teen years, but it’s perfectly normal for newborns to have it, too. It usually occurs during the first month of life and disappears by 4 months. It looks like the teen version, just smaller, and resolves by itself. 

Another skin issue that can alarm parents is what is known as cradle cap. This is basically infant dandruff. It will eventually resolve, but to speed up the process, you can try using baby oil on the scalp and comb out the flakes.
