Skipping Your Morning Coffee Because You're Breastfeeding? Read This!

Who doesn’t look forward to that morning cup of coffee? For some moms, the idea of having to give up caffeine can be almost as bad a losing a limb. But, the good news is that if you are breastfeeding, you don’t have to give it up. The key is to just enjoy it in moderation. 

The American Academy of Pediatrics defines moderate as two to three cups of a caffeinated beverage per day. However, some young infants can be sensitive to caffeine and become irritable or have trouble sleeping. This should lessen over time. And, you may want to skip that night time java!
