Is Trying to Get Pregnant Causing Stress? 4 Tips That May Help!

It's frustrating when we want something to happen so much but it's out of our control. When we accept a situation that's beyond our control, we are more likely to be at peace. This may help you:

  • Ask yourself, "Why do I want children or more kids? Can I fulfill these needs in any other way (e.g. work with children, volunteer, babysit relatives)?
  • If others ask you about having children or another baby, it's less awkward if you have accepted the situation or can even joke about it (e.g."There's nothing more fun than practicing!").
  • Think of the pros and cons of having children or more children. Are you being realistic in your expectations of what it will be like?
  • Appreciate what you already have in your life. 

Once your expectations are realistic, a successful pregnancy is a bonus!
