For a fun family activity and a great New Year's Eve decorative piece, make a DIY disco ball. It's a great new year craft activity to do with your kids and a unique way to recycle those old CDs.

You'll need:

  • CDs
  • scissors
  • Styrofoam ball
  • glue stick
  • hanging wire

Here's how you make it:

  1. Cut up old CDs into small squares.
  2. Paste squares onto Styrofoam ball until it is all covered.
  3. Insert hook and hanging wire to hang from the ceiling.

Get ready to dance the night away!
