Non-traditional Moms: Why We Should Celebrate All Kinds of Moms on Mother's Day Holidays Motherhood

On Mother's Day, we tend to celebrate traditional mothers. I also think about my friends: “non-traditional” moms making huge impact in the lives of so many. I think about my friends who are:

  • step-moms
  • single moms
  • foster moms
  • women who don’t have children, but have been a mom to my kids many times

The youth group leader, coaches and women who influence and impact our kids; those “moms” often get overlooked. So here’s to the women out there who ARE moms in every way.

Make sure to let those moms in your life know how you appreciate them, not only on Mother’s Day, but throughout the year!
