Mom, Let Dad Do the Parenting Thing His Way: Here's Why! Parenting

When you became a mom, you have created a tiny being with your partner – your child's father. Your child has two parents with unique personalities and parenting styles, and it's important to not micro-manage your partner and allow your child to experience being raised by both of you.

As moms we tend to take the reins on raising our children because we gave birth and biologically are more naturally inclined to nurture. As moms, we never have enough time for ourselves and by letting go of trying to control everything our partner does to raise our children, it allows us to focus on us, gives Dad confidence and bonding time with the kids and teaches your gang to listen and respect both of you.

There is no right way to parent. And when we relax and let Dad do his share it creates a more balanced family. Sounds good, right?

You are spot on, Eirene Heidelberger! Dads have their own style, and the balance is awesome for kids (and the whole family)!

This couldn't be more true. Allowing Dad to parent his way helps to build his confidence. I appreciate when he asks me to step aside so he can try "daddy style" with our little one.

Love that term of endearment!

I love this Eirene! It's so true. When I had my first child, I remember critiquing my husband. He very gently said, if you want me to do it then you have to let me do it my way. He was so right! It also makes their relationship with the kids stronger if they feel they get to have some input.

Chrissy Jones I can just hear Hugh say that too.

This topic is so important to help moms understand no one is "right," parents are just different. I wish I had someone help me along in those younger years with this. I'm better now but it would have been so helpful to have this tip! Love it!

Yes both parents need to let the other parent parent the way they want. Everyone has different way of doing things and that needs to be respected.
