Child Have a Fear of Animals? 4 Tips to Help Kids Feel Safe Around Furry Friends!

Many kids are afraid of animals, which can make play dates and events difficult if you visit a home with pets. Here are some tips to help your little one get comfortable!

  • Start early! Introduce them to animals early on. If you don't have pets, visit friends or family with a gentle pet.
  • Teach kids to be gentle. Use words like "nice" and "soft" as you show your baby how to pet an animal.
  • Always be safe! As they get older, tell them never to approach an animal without their grownup and always ask for permission.
  • Visit the zoo and read books about animals!

Watch out! Soon your child may want a pet of his own!
