Crankiness Cures: Tried & True Ways to Soothe a Fussy Baby

You've fed and changed your baby, who isn't sick or sleepy, but he’s still fussy. Now what? Change the scenery!

  • If you're inside, go outside for a stroll or lay a blanket down on the grass.
  • If you're walking around with Baby in a carrier, put her down on the floor to roll around and wiggle.
  • If Baby is in a swing, take him out and lay him in your lap.

Little changes in Baby's environment can offer new stimulation and sensory experiences. If all else fails, try music! Babies love when you sing to them or dance around gently.
