DIY Lightsabers for Your Little Jedi: Kid-Friendly & Economical!

Put down those sticks and hard plastic swords and try these inexpensive, homemade lightsabers! You'll need:

  • foam pool noodle
  • silver duct tape
  • black duct tape

All the materials can be found at a dollar store! Start by cutting a foam noodle in half. Then, cut strips of silver duct tape to lay lengthwise down the bottom third of the noodle. Next, cut a long strip of black duct tape, then cut that into three strips to wrap around the noodle at the top of the silver tape. Finally, cut a couple smaller pieces of the black tape to add as buttons.

You'll be defeating the Dark Side with your Jedi in no time!
